Chris ended up having the day off from work (thanks Margie!). We decided to take advantage of the lovely spring weather and visit some local sites.
Rockport ended up being our destination of the day. We first headed to
Vesper Hill (also known as the Children's Chapel). It was very lovely and very quiet, even with 3 kids running about. The kids loved climbing the rock stairs and checking out the flowers.

After that we headed to Rockport Marine Park to see
Andre the Seal's tribute statue. That turned out to not be the only thing to watch at the park. While we were there we got to watch a sailboat being delivered to the landing. All three (especially Jacob) were fascinated at the procedure. We also got to check out some of the old limestone kilns, an old train (the engine?), and a super sized buoy just right for climbing.

Stay tuned for more staycation adventures as spring progresses to summer!
