I wonder a bit if it's a girl thing or perhaps a future in fashion but Liz sure does enjoy creating her own look. Alexa will add some jewelry and glasses occasionally. For Elizabeth it's a way of life.
Her current favorites are a bike helmet, knee pads, and some sort of shoes (boots or mismatched preferred). But she's not picky, any items will work.
Going out in public happens on a regular basis. I do draw a line at the helmet but we did go into town the other day while wearing the knee pads. Removing her beloved items brings on a tantrum until I promise to let her put them back on (usually occurs during diaper changes).
Last week she wanted to nap in her helmet which probably wouldn't have been comfortable or very safe (unless she was expecting something to fall on her head, then she'd be protected). 
Just the other morning I was woken up by being hit in the face with one of her new crocs. She couldn't get it on herself so smacked me awake to do it for her. This morning was a similar experience only I was expected to put a knee pad on one handed.
